Inspired by its rich history and iconic building, The Ritz-Carlton, South Beach is the epitome of Miami glamour. Lionstone development acquired the 350,000 square foot, 375-room luxury landmark DiLido resort in 1971.

Lionstone spearheaded the renovations of the landmark Morris Lapidus designed property including the addition of three new floors, two level parking garage, two lanai rooms wings and 20,000 square foot commercial retail space, the $200 million renovations were completed in 2003 and unveiled a brand new resort model for the Ritz-Carlton brand.

Additionally, Lionstone managed the continued capital investments of areas such as the 20,000 square foot spa, executive lounge etc. Most recently the property underwent a $90 million redo of all 376 guest rooms, ballrooms, meeting spaces and restaurants which was completed in 2020.
